This presentation will cover an introduction of IT Service Management, why it is important to Financial Institutions in the context of Service Quality and Regulatory Requirements as well as Mr Narayanan's personal experience in the field of IT Service Management. The presentation will also cover discussions around IT Service Management as a possible career track within Operations and Technology in Financial Institutions.
Venkat Narayanan is currently the Asia Pacific Regional Head of IT Service Assurance Group for Citibank. His responsibilities include managing various teams across Asia Pacific responsible for different aspects of IT Service Management.
Venkat has 25+ years of IT Operational Experience with the past 18 years at Citibank Singapore. Prior to joining Citi, he has worked at Digital Equipment Corporation as well as Indian Institute of Science. He has IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL®) Expert Certification. He is also a Quality practitioner practising various methodologies such as TQM, Six Sigma etc.
