23 Oct 2012

Red Hat plans to expand the Red Hat Academy (RHA) programme to include the SMU School of Information Systems (SIS), so as to provide students with the academic Linux curriculum designed for hands-on, performance-based instruction and assessments. SMU Vice Provost (Research) and Dean of SIS, Professor Steven Miller, said that, "Our students are really adept at developing innovative software applications that integrate technology with people, process and business needs. Now that our students can develop mastery of Linux through the Red Hat Academy, they can bring Linux-based software infrastructure skills to complement their business solutions development efforts. This is a win for users as well as for IT managers.”
