Fast-Track Programmes allow promising SIS undergraduates pursue a Bachelor and Master degrees within a shorter period of time. SIS offers the following tracks:
In addition to the BSc (Information Systems), selected SIS undergraduates can obtain the Master of IT in Business (Financial Services Analytic) or Master of IT in Business (Analytics) degree concurrently. The MITB (FS) track aims to train technology and operations professionals for assuming IT leadership positions in the Financial Services sector. The MITB (AT) track aims to train a new breed of business analytics professional who can leverage on data and decision analytics to support customers and operations related decisions in the Service Sectors. The MITB (FA) program draws from both the Financial Services Track and Analytics Track to equip and prepare graduates and professionals with the ability and intelligence to translate data into actionable insights that drive growth in the financial services industry.
In addition to the BSc (Information Systems), selected SIS undergraduates can obtain the Master of Applied Information Systems degree concurrently. The MAIS program is designed to enhance students’ knowledge and skills by providing students with a broad view of information systems, in addition to valuable hands-on experiences.
A fast-track programme under the National Infocomm Scholarship which allows SIS undergraduate students to graduate within four to four and half years with both a BSc (Information Systems) degree from SMU and a Master's degree in IT from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, USA.
