The definitive

Master of IT in Business (MITB)

programme will give you an unparalleled edge with the knowledge of data, processes, technologies and management strategies. With three unique specialisation tracks to choose from, you will be poised to lead the industry in a time of transformation.

Financial Technology & Analytics Track

Technology is pushing the envelope for financial institutions on many fronts – for example, customer data, risk measures, capacity, market expectations and operational efficiency. Institutions that leverage on analytics to gain insights into their customers, operations and market opportunities can better position themselves for business continuity and success. However, transforming data into actionable insights requires knowledge in both the business and analytics domains. Analytics can be leveraged across all business lines in a financial institution. For example, customer attrition rates and rationale, cross-selling potential and values of transactions can be uncovered using analytics. In addition, analytics help combat fraud more efficiently while protecting customers. Today, risk management needs to be revitalised and optimisation is needed to drive profits.

The MITB (FTA) programme draws from both the Financial Technology Track and the Analytics Track to equip and empower graduates and professionals with analytics and financial technology skills necessary to change the world today and tomorrow.

Analytics Track

In a competitive environment, marshalling Business Intelligence and Data Analytics on a real-time basis to make decisions, create value and develop a sustained competitive advantage is imperative. SMU MITB (Analytics) is Asia's first professional masters programme to meet this demand. Co-designed by leading global and regional sector firms from hospitality, tourism, supply chain, retail, healthcare, public sector and telecommunications, it promises a robust and systematic understanding across processes, operations, data, technology solutions and management supervision. It is aimed at professionals with a background in Computer Science, Information Systems, IT, Engineering or the Sciences.

ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE TRACK

The rise of artificial intelligence (AI) is changing the face of business and radically transforming the way we live, work and communicate today. In recent years, businesses and governments have been increasingly harnessing AI capabilities to address major challenges affecting the society and industry. With the help of AI, complex and repetitive tasks can be accomplished with a higher degree of accuracy and at faster speed, boosting corporate profitability with increased productivity and operational efficiencies. AI is the future of growth - the accelerating development of AI and impending technological revolution are expected to impact all industries and companies in the near term.

First of its kind in Singapore and Southeast Asia, the new Artificial Intelligence Track is a direct response to these growing trends, to groom the next generation of AI talents with the ability to build AI tools, and implement adaptive closed loop solutions for a myriad of business problems.
